New Website

Just as you get all settled into a routine, things change. Change is inevitable. The only thing that stays the same is that everything changes (wow, that's an old country song).

Anyway, I believe we have this website for another 5 days or so before it expires. Our new site is over at Solid Roots dot com. You'll get an explination of the name later, but Jen, Trinity and I shall be moving over there shortly. If you happen to wonder over there now, there is nothing there that is of any relevance. Currently it is simply a WordPress template. I am in the process of learning PHP so I won't have to rely on a third-party (read: Blogger) to post our blogs. WordPress and PHP allow for more control and new features, including different users, which means that Jen may start blogging (Gasp!).

My new email will become chris@solidroots.com. I'm not sure if Jen's will change, but if it does, it will be jen@solidroots.com. I haven't got that email set up yet, so don't send anything important to it for a couple days.

Thank you for flying with ChrisandJenn.net

Trinity Jewel Armstrong

I've put a new page up for Trinity. It's got her latest sonogram pictures.

She's really a little person in there.

A Nice Tribute

When Jesus died on the cross, the sun was darkened for 3 days. It was as if night had fallen on all the Earth.

On Friday, the day of the Pope's burial, the sun is supposed to darken.

Now you guys know that I'm not Catholic. But I do believe that God knew Pope John Paul II as a friend. I'm not going to say that all other religions aren't going to Heaven (although some "religious" people don't get into Heaven) because I don't believe that! You just have to have that relationship with God and believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sins. I do believe that the Pope was in line to go to Heaven. I don't believe that the heavens and earth will bow down before the Pope as they did with Jesus when He died. But I think God is doing a nice thing-giving him a nice little tribute-for one of His most public servants.

Thanks Bryan for bringing up the topic.

Busy Week

It's been a fantabulous week so far. Work is going really well. We're almost ready to launch Phase 1 of our "Mission: Turn the Whole World into a Copier." Databases are being set up, materials are being prepared, etc...

I also got my new laptop in! Although it's a Compaq, it's got a lot of the features that the competition couldn't offer me, at a better price. AMD Athlon XP-M 1.6 processor, 512 Ram on 2 dimms, 80 gb hard drive...smoking! In fact, I am writing on it right now!!!

And the biggest news: We closed on our house yesterday!!! It's finally ours (in 360 more payments ;))!!! Big sigh of relief.

So again, if you'd like to come over, c'mon! The house isn't totally set up yet, but it's getting there.

Hasta La-Bye Bye!

Updates Part Deux

Sorry no update recently. Jen and I just moved into our (almost) new house (we haven't closed yet). I have no cable, no internet, and, in fact, my computer is up at work until I get a laptop (which should be next week sometime).

But I guess that's the big news - we got a house! Come see us!

We also got new cell phone numbers...email me if you want it.

Updates

Just a few quick updates:
  • We're officially living in Stillwater
  • We're getting pre-approved for a house loan. It's an awesome house! Jen's uncle built it. 3 bedrooms, 2 bath, an office, 2 car garage, 10' ceilings. It'll be much better than living in the grandparents basement. Although they make us great meals!
  • The job is going great. I'm doing tech support and installs for Jen's dad. He sells Canon copiers and really wants to take it to the next level. So I'm going to install them, train people and eventually offer document management solutions (read "really expensive high end software to streamline paper documents").
  • The Mac is gone. Good buddy Elliot decided he wanted a Mac for his birthday. By the way, Elliot, let me know how it's working...
  • Jen is getting bigger. She's 6 months and some change. We're getting so excited. She and her mom got a crib and a bunch of great clothes. Her favorite is a little bikini!
  • I guess that's it for now. Let me know if I forgot anything.
