Life: Unplugged

Well, today ends my 7 day adventure into the real world. I have been away from my computer going on 8 days (although it is ending now). While this is by no means some sort of record or feat, it is quite out-of-character for me to be away this long. What have I been doing, you ask. Thank you. Let's take a look.

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving with my two families. I have a LOT to be thankful for and I don't give nearly enough thanks to those who make it all possible. So, thank you everyone - my family, Jen's family, friends, all the turkeys around the world, Al Gore (for creating the Internet), Macromedia, Microsoft, Macintosh, Dell, Dr. Pepper, the guy who invented bowling and playing cards and poker chips, Pete Coors, chocolate sheet cake, the list could go on forever. We hung out in Elk City for a couple days, then moseyed on over to Stillwater. There we played cards and the whole family went bowling. Jen was awesome the first game, I sucked it up. I was awesome the second game and Jen sucked it up (by her standards). So our teams came out 1-1. Although we still lost overall... Oh well...wait until next year!!!

Jen and I then drove back on Sunday night. 11 hours in a car will just about kill anyone. The weather wasn't bad until about halfway through Kansas. The roads got icy, people were sliding off the road left and right (literally). Eventually it cleared off somewhat until we got into Denver. They had already gotten a couple of inches of snow, so it was kinda crazy. People drive crazily anyway, but throw snow into the mix and it was disastrous. Fortunately Jen and I pulled into our "driveway" at about 8.30 or so. Our vacation in Oklahoma was wonderful and Jen began to miss family and friends almost immediately.

Well, I've been at work the last couple of days and Jen has gone to the doctor within the last couple of days. We've got pictures of the baby and she heard the heartbeat! Hopefully I'll have some pics to put up soon...until then you can imagine. He/She is like 2.5 cm from the top of the head to the heart and he/she's upside down!

Anyway, that's enough for now. Be praying for us and our family. Be praying for Jen's health, the baby's health, and my patience! ;)

one love.
