Happy Anniversary and New Year

Today marks the 365th day that Jen and I have been married -- crazy, I know. Looking back, it seems both longer and shorter than a year. Sometimes, it seems we've been married forever: getting on each other's nerves, staying home on the weekends and cleaning, and the friendship we have. Other times, it seems like we don't know each other at all: getting on each other's nerves, to occasional surprise in TV shows, type of jokes, eating habits, and generally getting on each other's nerves.

This past year has been the craziest of either of our lives. This time last year we were getting married and heading on to Hawaii for our honeymoon. The next 4 months have Jen finishing up her Catalyst program and working with UWC kids while I went to OK State and work. Come July, things got crazy. Jen and I (with a team of 8 or so) took the looooooong flight to Ireland and did a week long kids camp with Irish kids from 7-12 years. It was a great camp, one of the best times to go to another country and get acquainted with what God was doing in a foreign land. After a great time in Ireland (and a miserable 3 days in London), we fleeeeeeew back and 3 days later, we were heading north. We packed up our house and belongings, went on vacation with my family and moved to Boulder on August 1. Two weeks later (of unloading and unpacking) I was working and Jen was helping out @ Origins Community with kid's ministry. October rolls around and we find out we're going to have a baby.

All-in-all, it has been a wonderful, exhausting year (or is that wonderfully exhausting) with more changes to come, I'm sure. Thanks to everyone who had a part in this year, and please stay with us as we continue into Chris and Jen, Year 2.

And our New Year's Resolution, which probably the same as the other 11 million bloggers out there: To post more.

Happy New Year!!!
